- Cozy Cabin. People find it hard to imagine why I live away the heart of the city, but there is something within me that craves nature, a warm log home, and clean air. The energy and soul of the country is much more to my liking, though I really do enjoy playing in the city, as long as I can return to home-sweet-home.
Just added the before, during and after shots of my landscaping make-over last year.
Here are shots of the vegetable garden that Tim is creating for me. Work in progress!
- Cemeteries People shy from photographing cemeteries like they shy away from some aspects of reality. They know death awaits, but don’t want to have to look it in the face. I think taking pictures of cemeteries is no different than taking pictures of war. It is just another glimpse into a world we really don’t want to have to face, yet is always around us. There is another aspect of cemeteries that I find compelling. This is the place where we say our final goodbyes. It is the place where the soul is laid most bare in front of others. In the air hangs memories, love, loss, separation, and all things human. It is not macabre; it is death –transition and rebirth-, which is a natural part of life.
- Excursions. These excursions are trips both local and afar. They include my favorite places to hang out such as my river sanctuary to my trip to Melbourne, Australia.
- Gothic Shots. I like interesting gothic architecture and I'd like to start including some of those shots here.
